I don't really know what to say about Valentine's Day but I'll give it a try....
Let me start by saying what is the big deal? Let me get this straight, it is a day on which people show their expression of love through cards, flowers and chocolates to the person they adore. It seems that you can do this in any other day. To me this day is like any other ordinary day of the year but to some people it's special . Then there are some stereotypes who often worry over simple misdeeds such as a forgotten present or... people who lack attention (no offense) and demand something during this peculiar occasion -_-.
Well this is the only thing I can come up with....

♀Valentine's♀ is just an ordinary day(like you said) but the only difference between valentine's and ordinary times is lovers really expresses their true feelings with each other in this day which make valentine's day differ to other days.

LOL doesn't make sense a day has 24hours and valentine's day is just one day which is also 24hours.
I know more about this day than you. A day to commemorate a Saint's (St. Valentine)holiday also this day of February the 14th was a tradition in some place of courtly love.

you forgot the fact that it's just a huge excuse for stores to go nuts, and it's other name 'singles awareness day' Though I gotta admit I like the fact that I get free chocolates.
